Sophie & Ed met through their shared love of horseriding but their relationship began when Ed stole a kiss from Sophie while celebrating his beloved Hawks winning the Grand Final.
Since then they have shared many milestones together, created many memories and recently they became husband and wife at the stunning Stones of the Yarra Valley – a magical venue that oozes charm and modern sophistication.
During the day, Ed and the boys busied themselves with last minute preparations while enjoying the high spirits of the day.
While Sophie spent the morning with her mum and her wonderful support team.
Sophie arrived with her mum in style and was excited that this moment had finally arrived. With the lovely Lauren from Stones co-ordinating the girls, it was time to go.
When the doors of the chapel opened to the sound of Ed Sheerin’s “Tenerife Sea” played beautifully on Piano by Connor Taylor, Sophie stood in the door frame silhouetted by the afternoon sun. Ed was clearly moved by the beauty of watching the scene unfold of his soon-to-be wife being led up the aisle by her incredibly proud mum.
The stunning chapel was filled with smiles and laughter from their much loved family and friends and it set the tone for the rest of the day’s celebrations. There was a palpable feeling of love in the air as guests watched on in support.
Their ceremony was relaxed but brimming with heartfelt moments included some surprise elements added by their grandparents.
After exchanging vows and rings, the atmosphere was electric as I pronounced them husband and wife. To the sound of rapturous applause and cheering, this elated couple walked down the aisle towards their gathered guests who all wanted to wish them well.
Sophie & Ed made the most of their surroundings and spent some time with their wonderful photographer Shaun from a Touch of Flash & Stu from Stu Art Productions. The property at Stones offers so many beautiful locations and photographic opportunities.
Then it was time to get the evening festivities started and Sophie and Ed partied hard into the evening with their much loved guests
All in all, this was a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime- day that will be remembered by many for years to come – myself included.
Thank you Sophie & Ed for sharing your experiences on Easyweddings….
“Fiona was incredible. We had countless comments about how beautifully she conducted our ceremony with many saying it was the nicest ceremony they have ever been to. Fiona felt like more than a wedding celebrant to us, she took the time to get to know us and made us feel so comfortable come our special day. We cannot thank her enough for all the time and energy she spent making our day so perfect. Would highly recommend!”
