Melbourne Elopement

I may be biased, but it is easy to see why Melbourne is a pretty special place for an elopement. The hardest part is deciding where to have it.   There are so many wonderful locations, quirky venues and beautiful backdrops to choose from.Getting married, while on holiday here was exactly what Nadine & Sahill decided to do.This fun loving and very relaxed couple, currently live overseas.     Melbourne quickly became the obvious choice for them to say "I do" as Australia holds many fond memories for them. Not feeling any pressure into any sort of wedding traditions, they contacted me to help them organise their Melbourne Elopement.I am delighted to be able to share a little insight into the romance of this day captured by the lovely Lisa Drew.City ElopementThey gathered together with only their immediate family, under the Old Band Stand at Edinburgh Gardens.    Above all, this historic location offered them much needed shelter from Melbourne's unpredictable weather.Melbourne City Elopement Their ceremony felt incredibly personal and intimate.   We celebrated their love and commitment to one another without any other distractions. The occasion was about making memories with the people they love the most. With thanks to modern technology.  Nadine's brother was also able to watch online via Facetime from London.Melbourne Elopementmelbourne elopement wedding Paperwork For an elopementAfter their ceremony, the couple made their way to the Windsor Hotel for an afternoon of celebrating.Melbourne CBD ElopementThis intimate and stylish elopement shows how an elopement can be just as personal and meaningful as a big wedding with 100 people.I hope these photos inspire anyone who is seriously considering escaping the wedding planning and just making it about the two of you...The romance, excitement and the adventure - what's not to love.city centre elopement

Review

My husband and I made plans to get married in Melbourne from overseas and so we weren't able to meet Fiona until our wedding day. Even though that could have posed some difficulties, right from the beginning Fiona was so hands on and accommodating.  She helped us with all the paperwork and even gave us suggestions for the location. We just wanted a small, simple ceremony with our family members and Fiona made it truly memorable. Her calm, warmth and gentle energy was exactly what was needed in the midst of all the commotion and rain! Fiona is a wonderful celebrant and we are so grateful to have had her officiate our marriage.
