Mornington Peninsula Elopement

Emma and Lionel’s story began in Melbourne, where Emma, met Lionel, a Swiss student, while they were both studying at RMIT.

After their friendship groups merged together, they became friends and over time, a deep and genuine friendship developed between them.

However, just before Emma set off for a three-month European adventure after graduation, Lionel could no longer hide his feelings. He had been sending Emma emails under the guise of recommending places to visit in Switzerland.  That was the beginning of their beautiful relationship.

A few years later Emma and Lionel made a life-changing decision. They both left their corporate jobs in Melbourne, packed up their lives, and set off with a loose plan to backpack through Southeast Asia. The adventure took them to Thailand, a country they now call home. They share a deep passion for diving, long walks on the beach, and most importantly, they share their life with their beloved dog, Rocco.

When it came time for them to formalise their commitment to one another, they chose to elope in the stunning landscape of the Mornington Peninsula. The peaceful beauty of the peninsula provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremony. Though Lionel's family from Switzerland could not be there in person, I made sure their presence was felt by sharing heartfelt words from them, ensuring that their love and support were part of the day.

Their wedding was a beautiful reflection of the life they’ve built together—one filled with adventure, love, and a deep connection to the world around them.

Review

Fiona was referred to us by a friend and we couldn't be happier that we met Fiona and she was able to be our celebrant. She was much more than just that, guiding us gently along the way without pushing or pressuring us into anything we didn't want to do. All her suggestions for our elopement were fantastic and the ceremony came together perfectly. Fiona managed to involve both families, those present and those abroad in a very special way. She is a very warm person and genuinely cared for our big day! We never felt stressed throughout the whole process. Highly recommend.
