Surprise!!! Nicole & Tate's engagement party/wedding
Nicole & Tate decided to turn their engagement party at the Boulevard in Kew, into a wedding, avoiding the stress and pressure of organising a traditional wedding. And boy did they nail it. This beautiful picture shows the absolute pure joy and happiness of the occasion. Here is how the afternoon unfolded..........As unsuspecting guests arrived, they enjoyed easy chatter and a few drinks in the afternoon sun at the Boulevard and they were treated to the wonderful music by Adam and Brendan from Something Borrowed. When the time was right, I announced to their guests that I was the MC for the wedding, then I told them that "MC" actually stood for "Marriage Celebrant" and they had all been invited to Nicole and Tate's wedding! The crowd went absolutely wild, there were cheers, excitement and a few happy tears.Guests moved to the ceremony space, amongst the impressive rows of trees, giving the impression that we were in an enchanted forest about to witness something very special.Nicole who is also an incredibly talented amateur performer in musical theatre, made her way down the aisle with her mum and dad, and singing along with the band. Guests applauded and sang along. This party had well and truly started. During their ceremony, I told the story of how they met when Tate was the best man at his fathers wedding and Nicole was a guest. It would appear that Tate may have been neglecting his bestman duties while spending the night dancing and chatting up Nicole. But the highlight of the occasion, was Nicole's beautiful 95 year old Pa acting as the ring bearer and presenting Nicole and Tate with their rings. What a very special moment. Nicole and Tate's sheer joy was natural and infectious. You couldn't help but be swept up in their excitement. This very special event left guests with many fond memories and an afternoon they will always remember. Thank you Nicole and Tate for inviting me to play a part in your wonderful surprise and for your kind words on Easyweddings. "Fiona is truly amazing! From our first meeting we knew she was exactly who we wanted to officiate the most important day of our lives. Her approach is completely professional, but genuinely warm, thoughtful and she knew exactly how to tell our story. Loved by all on our surprise day!"
