Elopements have become very popular of the last 12 months.Covid 19 has forced many couples to cancel or postpone their original plans. With so much uncertainty, more and more couples are choosing to create a once in a lifetime adventure by deciding to skip the large wedding celebration and choosing to elope.
The Couple
One such couple are Kameika and Alex.
With a baby on the way. Kameika & Alex decided to forgo the big wedding. Instead, opting for an intimate and special ceremony at sunrise. There is something very special about starting a new day with a wedding ceremony.Kameika is not a usually a morning person but Alex loves the mornings. This meant Kameika had to get up at 3am to get ready. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
Their ceremony took place with the backdrop of one of Australia's most stunning locations on the Great Ocean Road.Kameika's father escorted her down the "aisle"
They had a heartwarming and very personal ceremony with their parents as the witnesses. There were tears one moment, with much laughter the next.
A wedding looks different to ever single couple and this was the perfect way for Alex & Kameika to get married.
It is no secret, I love elopements. In my opinion, the Great Ocean Road is one of the best locations to elope to in Australia.Eloping doesn’t mean that your wedding day will be any less special or meaningful. Some couples decide to do everything – just on a smaller scale.Seeing images like these from the wonderful Prue Peters, the real questions is, why wouldn’t you want to elope to Loch Ard Gorge on the Great Ocean Road.
