State Library Wedding
Bec & James' State Library WeddingI had the pleasure of marrying Bec & James itwice! And I had so much fun that I wished we could do it again. When covid put an end to their original plans, they were married in a meaningful and intimate ceremony at Alexandra Gardens in Kew.Bec and James so graciously had to deal with the rollercoaster of organising and trying to plan to get married during a global pandemic. No mean feat. But not even border closures could stop their special guests from being involved.Bec's aunty who was unable to travel delivered a beautiful reading via zoom and although it wasn't ideal that she couldn't be there, we made it work.On reflection, if 2020 has taught us anything, it is that sometimes we just have to go with the flow. And finally, when the restrictions eased, they celebrated their marriage with all their wonderful family and friends, many of whom travelled from interstate, at the beautiful La Trobe Reading Room at the State Library. And what a party it was. Here are the incredible images from their State Library wedding with all of their family and friends.
Review
Fiona is not just an exceptional celebrant, but an exceptional person. Planning a wedding during COVID was extremely stressful, and my husband (!) and I were so lucky to have Fiona by our side during the process. She is an extremely warm and lovely person (and her gorgeous accent doesn't hurt either!).Fiona is kind, empathetic, and creative. She really took the time to get to know us and to craft a ceremony which was intimate and personal. It completely reflected who my partner and I are. Everyone was in tears the whole way through our ceremony, and many of our guests have told us it was the best ceremony they have ever been to.Fiona is also very organised and responsive. She is easy to communicate with and is very experienced. I would recommend her to anyone looking for the best celebrant in Melbourne.
