Claire and Rob decided on a Vue on Halcyon wedding at the foothills of the Yarra Valley. It is close to where they live and allowed their precious furry friend, Houston, to be an important part of their day
I met Claire many years ago, in a former life as a travel agent. When she asked me if I could marry her, naturally I was delighted to help her with this next big adventure.
Claire had a very close relationship with her grandparents and unfortunately, her nan passed away a few short months before she got married. To honour her, Claire walked down the aisle with her parents, to her nan’s favourite song, Nat king Cole’s “unforgettable”.
Sitting proudly in the from row was Claire’s Pa, her Nan’s husband of 73 years. It was a very emotional and beautiful moment.Sadly, since this wonderful day late last year Claire’s Pa has died, making this moment even more precious.I will never take for granted what a privilege it is to have a front-row seat to witness such a special moment.
Since meeting, Claire and Rob have been on many endless adventures. They have travelled extensively including a trip to Africa a few short months after meeting. If you can survive six weeks of camping in the African desert surrounded by deadly animals together, you can survive anything! Since then, they have been on many adventures.
Claire and Rob met online. But is surprising they hadn't met before then. They lived and grew up only 10 minutes from each other, frequented the same gym, attended some of the same football matches, even drinking in the same bar at the same time at one particular match. They also had some mutual friends. But the universe decided that they weren’t destined to meet until December 2016
